The hosts were kind and friendly, nothing was a trouble to them. The breakfasts gave ample choice, were really well cooked and served in a lovely room with a nice view. Our room was faultless. The double bedroom was large, spotlessly clean, light, warm & comfortable with fabulous views to the west and north. Nick & Alison were very pleasant and helpful, their english breakfasts were delicious using local produce. and they are dog-friendly which is vital for us travelling wiith our puppy. Thereis a lovely lounge with wood stove and a conservatory to a big garden with more views.

This is a perfectly wonderful place that really takes you back to another time and place. We loved all of the attention to details. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished.
We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious!
We also want to thank the owners for being so kind to us. It was raining one morning and we got a ride into town to the conference center. That was extremely helpful and considerate!

Great location, amazing views from the room. The bars have roaring fires with plenty of choice including real ales. We cannot praise this guest house and its great owners Mel and Brian, their lovely family...including their entertaining resident pooch Basil, enough. This heritage accommodation is quiet, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
