  Hostal Veracruz is very nice and has clean rooms with AC and own bathrooms. It is very close to Sol, so really in very center of Madrid and Spain. Everything is in walking distance or else the metro and cercanias are near by (at Sol). You are in the thick of the nightlife of Madrid and of the shopping center. The single room was good and very comfortable. Everything was also very clean and the staff was friendly. This is a fantastic place to stay when you need to move through the city and don't want to miss the ambiance of Madrid city centre!

  I liked EVERYTHING about this hostel! It was clean, modern, and had everything one would need! A fridge, a built in hair dryer, they even give you shampoo and soap and a comb! FREE WiFi in the room. You can leave your luggage there before you check in, even Days before you check in! I would definitely stay there again and WILL recommend it to my friends! - Excellent location near Puerta del Sol, small rooms but very clean, perfect for a few days in Madrid.

Plenty of communal living space, and the bedrooms all a good size with wardrobes and hangers. We didn't get disturbed by the outside noise as the double glazing is great (and we're from London, w... hva folk sier » e're used to it), and the air conditioning is present in every room apart from the single bedroom; although if you keep the door open it travels through. A proper size fridge/freezer and a great shower is - The location was absolutely perfect. Everything was clean and well presented. The apartment was also a lot bigger than we expected.   For me was a realy nice experience in this Hostel. For that money you have nothing bad to say . The hotel is in the perfect location . You have everything around you . The brackfast was very good , modest but as a vegetarian perfect / cereal/ milk /tee / koffe / bread/ fruits ... All what u need to have a good start . The personal was very young ... hva folk sier » and nice . The room was very clean with a big bath . The wifi was very good sometimes I had even in my room at 3th floor connection . I will definitel - I stayed at this hostel with my sister who is a regular hostel visitor and she told me it's one of the best she's stayed in. We both agree that the facilities are excellent for the price paid and the staff were so very friendly and most helpful in every way. We were made to feel so at home.. We will recommend this hostel to all our friends and family.

  Hostal Mendoza is located in perfect place: next to the central street of Madrid - Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, where you can take the tourist- bus and travel all over the city. Our double-room on the second flour was always clean, the furniture and bathroom (with all the accessories) were new, we had even flat TV-set and the balcony. There was no... hva folk sier » breakfast, but it was not a problem for us, because there are a lot of cafes and restaurants next to Mendoza.Staff on reception was very kind and pos - The location is superb (if a little hard to find down a side street). Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay perfect. Was concerned a "hostal" might not be up to scratch but it was like any other 3 star accommodation. Room was large with fairly new ensuite and very comfy beds. There was nothing we didn't like and would definitely stay again.
