It is just across the street from the walled city, specifically right across from the Puerta de la Santa, with a restaurant on the top floor (that being the level of the entrance to the walled city) and lower floors given to reception and the rooms.   I have stayed in three hotels in Ávila, which were all nice, but this one was easily the best! The staff were friendly. I had a lovely room with a view of the square. The place was clean and spacious. The heating was good (for January). The breakfast was high quality. It couldn't be better, and the price was reasonable.
