It is just across the street from the walled city, specifically right across from the Puerta de la Santa, with a restaurant on the top floor (that being the level of the entrance to the walled city) and lower floors given to reception and the rooms. Rooms are clean, wi-fi connnected, comfortable, and very close to the restaurant. Calling a taxi on departure gets one to the hotel i - Would we stay here again if we would return to Avila ? a definite YES. Hotel Puerta just wins with a very good balance between what is offered and what it cost to stay there. And the location is as good as it can ever be!
