  The hotel is located a few minutes away from the city center. It is owned by a gentleman from United Kingdom. Very nice home atmosphere made us feel very welcomed. We were given a few good tips of places to visit. Coffee and breakfast were great. Totally recommend travelers visiting Merida to choose Yucatan Vista.   I chose the Casa Chalia because the reviews rated the hosts and breakfast so highly and I was not a bit disappointed. When you arrive you do not find a grand lobby but you do get a welcome that makes you feel as if you are at home, and have someone to turn to should you have any questions about getting around Merida. The accommodations are simple but immacu - Excellent staff: friendly, flexible, responsive to requests. Spoke English. They were what made this a memorable stay. Sent us off early in a.m. with sandwiches--beyond call of duty. Fine breakfast included in pleasant garden. Rooms small but very clean, totally adequate for budget travelers. AC important.
