  I had a very enjoyable experience on a weekend in Cork with my friends. We found the Ashley Hotel to be a great spot to stay right in the centre, close to all the best, high-street shops. My room was nice, very clean and bright, had a comfortable double bed, although I booked a single room for myself. Hotel's car park is a great advantage.   Eileen and Michael were welcoming from the first moment we walked through the door. Eileen made afternoon tea for us . The breakfasts were superb. The room we had was #4 and was beautifully decorated. Michael gave us a lift to the bus staion when we left and there was a bus stop just acrossw the street, the #202. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast - Our host Eileen was a real gem - she made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to drop us off in the city (not sure if this is usual or not!). She supplied us with a full buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room overlooking a garden, a lovely way to start the day. Blackrock is not right in the centre of Cork but the city is easily accessible by car (10 mins drive) or by bus - there is a bus stop right outside the accommodation.
