  Lovely old manor house with a very large parking area out front. Were greeted right away by the Lodge's owner who helped us with our luggage. The rooms were beautiful, large and clean overlooking their garden area. Were given really good directions, and a book with hints on what to see in Cork...even given a lift in cause he had an errand to run... hva folk sier » . Breakfasts were amazing. Beautiful place!!!! - friendliness of staff - good breakfast - spacious rooms with very good soundproofing, did not hear traffic despite being close to major roads

  Eileen and Michael were welcoming from the first moment we walked through the door. Eileen made afternoon tea for us . The breakfasts were superb. The room we had was #4 and was beautifully decorated. Michael gave us a lift to the bus staion when we left and there was a bus stop just acrossw the street, the #202. The bus ride was about 10 mi... hva folk sier » nutes into Cork City. There is a beautiful back yard and the bathroom was spotless. Very nice couple. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast - Our host Eileen was a real gem - she made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to drop us off in the city (not sure if this is usual or not!). She supplied us with a full buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room overlooking a garden, a lovely way to start the day. Blackrock is not right in the centre of Cork but the city is easily accessible by car (10 mins drive) or by bus - there is a bus stop right outside the accommodation.

  The hotel was fabulous, everything was clean and the staff were veryfriendly and helpful.
