There was a great cafe by the hotel that we could enjoy a great breakfast, and a saloon/bar right next door that we could enjoy a drink or two without having to go far. This hotel is a renovated kloster and retains many of the original fittings - it's beautiful! We ate dinner there which was fantastic and enjoyed the beautiful views of the river which runs directly in front. Visitors should note that the Klosterschenke is a significant distance from Trier, however, so a car is definitely required. -

We had an flight from Frankfurt airport and picked up this hotel. Location is perfect, just 10 min walk to airport.
Hotel has its own restaurant with very good food and big portions. Stuff was very friendly and spoke some English.
Room was very clean and comfy, we had a good night sleep.
Also car park was available for 2€ per day. Was just perfect for us (as we left our car there and flew to Sardinia).

This was our second visit. The quality of the whole hotel is outstanding. The style of food is very Germanic but executed to a very good standard. If it were changed to be a little more interesting it would lift this hotel into the superclass. The comfort room in which we stayed and especially the bathroom are better than hotels we have stayed in
