  Before staying at Poblado Plaza I did some research and most of the reviews were great, apparently the only complaint was the dated bathrooms and TV's, but being born and raised in Medellin I knew Poblado Plaza as one of the best hotels around and, fortunately I was right. We had a very pleasant experience, beggining with the front desk staff and ... hva folk sier » the bellboy (Geovanni) who welcomed us at 1:00 am and was available all the time. We stayed in 2 different rooms during our 12 day stay, the first one - The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Medellin in Avenida Poblado, the major artery through the downtown area. There are three or more hugh malls within walking distance, a McDonald's and Hard Rock Cafe next door. Some desk personnel speak some English, but I found that there were generally few English speakers. The staff was courteous and attentive; rooms were spotless. WiFi worked well, and flat screen tvs got some American channels. Excellent breakfast.

  The people,- everyone working in the hotel went above and beyond what I would expect from room service, food service, spa service, and especially front desk service who also helped me with the computers. The location was excellent, walking distance to 2 large malls, bank, shops, and restaurants in the hotel complex. It was so kind of them. And everyone working in this hotel is so helpful and nice. Definitely if there will be a next trip to Medellin, again I will stay here.
