  It was always clean. They could speak english and they were very nice and helpful. Very close to the metro and many stores. It was easy to walk around and see how really Madrid looks like everyday. I will stay in this Hostel every time I go to Madrid, that is for sure. - Excellent location a short walk from Gran Via metro .   The staff at Numancia, especially the man on the front desk the majority of the time are excellent. All our needs were met and any requests were willing to be accommodated including leaving our luggage there for a whole day (as our train trip was at night). Great asset to the place. Further to this, the location is great. Maybe 10 minute stroll to Plaza Del Sol. The room itself was perfectly adequate. Compact but comfortable.

  Very nice, modern hotel. The room was very spacious. Toilet was big: there's separate toilet and a nice shower. Next to it is a little cloakroom. All these partitioned next to the bedroom. The owner Paul who is at the reception during the day is very friendly and ready to give visiting information. Location of hotel is very convenient - It was a pleasant surprise to stay at an art showcase hotel: what an inspiration. When we arrived they were displaying beautiful photographs from an artist, on the following week they displayed paintings from a renowned andalusian painter. The room is artfully decorated with the most functional bathroom for travelers. Another surprise was the very clever and beautiful way the television is hidden.   First of all the location is perfect. You are just minutes away on foot from the Palace, Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Gran Via is almost next to the building, as well as the shopping street. You have restaurants next to the building and more a few minutes walking away. Couple of metro stations are close to the building.   The hostal was basic but excellent value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location was superb just off the Grand Via and within walking distance of all city attractions.
