  The staff at Numancia, especially the man on the front desk the majority of the time are excellent. All our needs were met and any requests were willing to be accommodated including leaving our luggage there for a whole day (as our train trip was at night). I stayed there 5 nights by myself and have nothing to complain about.   The hostal was basic but excellent value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location was superb just off the Grand Via and within walking distance of all city attractions. The room had free wifi and air conditioning, which ensured we had a comfortable stay. The location was fantastic, right in the shopping area of Madrid.
