  Very helpful and friendly staff and right next to China town. It was amazing how easy and walking friendly Nagasaki is. This hotel puts you within a few minutes walk from some gret sites, Glover Garden, and too many temples to list. The Confucious Shrine is a must see. - Location is very good，near shopping street and bus station

They will also do a load of laundry for you for 200 yen but you will either have to hang the clothes of the roof or spin dry at the laundromat close by.   Proximity to JR Beppu Station (just a mere 5-minute walk), a 24-hour convenience store is almost right outside the hotel, closely located to restaurants etc. I think the hotel's onsen would have been a bonus but unfortunately I didn't have time to soak in it at night. Clean rooms, decent enough for my one-night stay.   The location is great, it's just a five minute walk to the station and you have restaurants and bars all around you. Kokage has its own little onsen that you can use free of charge and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Beppu itself must have been a much better place some decades ago - now it looks a bit depressing... There was tea service waiting in room. It is not fancy at all. It was fun to wake up to the magpies and temple chimes at 7am. Great sashimi with excruciatingly cordial waiters just down the street. The public onsen by the spa beach is very nice and very local.
