Turned out that renting an apartment at Case Don Ignazio in southern Sicily was an excellent idea. Located at the top of the hill, surrounded by lime and orange orchards, and olives groves at the downhills, with spectacular view over Ionian see on the left and baroque beauty Rosolini on the right. Very nice place, high level of service, nice and friendly staff, located just a few steps from the square in front of Il Duomo. Close to restaurants, shopping and Culture. Parking free of charge in the street below, worked perfectly with direct access from the hotelelevator. Wifi worked perfectly, fast access. Nice view over the Ragusa valley. Sergio was so helpful and provided great information on sites, restaurants, whatever you ask. Quiet and scenic location. Nice, spacious and clean rooms. Laundry facilities on site. Great for day trips throughout western Sicily. Erice, Segesta, Mozia and the salt flats, Monte Cofano Park and Trapani are so close they can be half day trips. Selinunte and Zingaro easily accessible as well.

This hotel is a small paradise. The hotel only has six rooms. Each of them are very private with each their own terrace. The best thing is the main terrace which has stunning views to the sea and stromboli in good weather. The hotel has no swimming pool so it is indeed very quiet.

This was....Paradise! An oasis of rest in the bustling life of Siracusa. Nice and friendly staff. Although only 3stars rated, it is worth a 5 star resort. The only one with a private beach, it was just great to start our trip there. For the boys they even could use a kayak which they enjoyed. Breakfast was amazing when comparing with Italy standards.
