  We recently had a great stay at Kent House. Lorraine & John are the perfect hosts. Lorraine was so helpful with suggestions on where to go and how to get there. Our bed and bathrooms were spacious and breakfast was delicious. We were made to feel part of the family. Thanks for a wonderful stay they were the perfect hosts. - Really liked the personal interaction with the hosts/owners who were very generous with helpful travel tips, advice and recommendations. Our room was generous and light and the bathroom light and bright with good towels. It was the only bedroom on our trip that had a powerboard close to a mirror and a writing table which meant you could plug in your computer, recharge your mobile and use the hair-straightener at the same time!

  I had a very enjoyable experience on a weekend in Cork with my friends. We found the Ashley Hotel to be a great spot to stay right in the centre, close to all the best, high-street shops. My room was nice, very clean and bright, had a comfortable double bed, although I booked a single room for myself. Hotel's car park is a great advantage. Me and my friend stayed there in January, we got a lovely room-very clean, due to the recent renovations. We had a nice breakfast. The location was fantastic.

The room we had was #4 and was beautifully decorated. Michael gave us a lift to the bus staion when we left and there was a bus stop just acrossw the street, the #202. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast - Our host Eileen was a real gem - she made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to drop us off in the city (not sure if this is usual or not!). She supplied us with a full buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room overlooking a garden, a lovely way to start the day. Blackrock is not right in the centre of Cork but the city is easily accessible by car (10 mins drive) or by bus - there is a bus stop right outside the accommodation.
