  The rooms were bright and clean and the hotel upgraded us to a Junior Suite because it was our wedding. They had some chocolate strawberries waiting for us in the room. What a nice touch :) The staff was very helpful with any questions and they held our baggages at reception before we were able to check in. They were able to check us in early. Tha - The Radisson Blu 1919 is centrally located in downtown Reykjavik -- couldn't ask for a better location. Just a block away from the pedestrian area, and from the bus stop. The staff were always helpful and friendly in every way possible. Always. The rooms were very clean, with ample space. The breakfast buffet was really outstanding -- plenty of wonderful variety from which to choose. We felt very welcomed at all times here. That means a lot to us as travelers.   Amazed to have easy on-street parking right in front of the hotel each night. Enjoyed the art! Impressed by the signs up one day that the street lights would be off and an upper floor room available for potential viewing of the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, cloud cover did not cooperate. Our young waiter (from the Netherlands) was so p - I've been once before and choosing a Hotel for my wife's 60th birthday remembered Hotel Holt for its atmosphere, its wonderful collection of paintings and its excellent food. Of course it is also within walking distance of everywhere you want to go. The hotel fully lived up to my recollections and went down very well with my artistic wife.

  The apartments were spacious by European standards and they were ideally located near City Center. They were cleaned daily and everything worked reasonably well. The internet connection was a bit shaky at times and was a dsl line. The tv was likewise weird, having at times 150 channels, then 6! All British satellite coverage. There was a roll- out bed available as well. - Fantastic location and the apartments they have a of nice size.
