From the moment we entered the property we were blown away by the amazing views of the mountain range. A short walk later revealed kangaroos grazing in the paddocks and duck on the pond. We felt a million miles away from everything but were in fact very central to the vineyards and attractions. The cottage was well appointed and spacious for two with a fire to keep out the cold at night. Everything was thought of and there was nothing we could have asked for to improve our stay. The extra little touches like the homemade muffins, fruit bowl etc made you feel welcome. The owners were warm and friendly and available when needed. The view was breathtaking! Would stay there again, absolutely!!!. - Ken & Suzie were very welcoming and helpful with their suggestions of places to visit - Brilliant, quiet location, only a 10 minute drive from Pokolbin village I would highly recommend Berenbell Vineyard Retreat for anyone looking for a quiet weekend (or longer!) away. Self-catering facilities, nice breakfast provided (muffins, bread, eggs, cereals, juice, milk), air conditioned chalet, nice layout with vegetation giving privacy from other chalets. Close to Hunter valley gardens and wineries. Owners are very friendly. Ken and Susie are the most gracious and friendly hosts- you feel like a special guest at their beautiful wine country retreat. The location was perfect for visiting many of Hunter Valley's best wineries and restaurants. Berenbell is an amazing little place, I highly recommend it to anyone. I've stayed with them twice now. We were happy with everything. -Shower door not cleaned. -Cobwebs everywhere around ceiling. -Staircase VERY unsafe on bend, need a light for better vision. -Muffins would have been lovely if freshly baked every morning. . Nothing!. attached to another cabin. No public transport. We were unsure as to replacement of towels and food for breakfast. If we had known that towels weren't replaced, we would have put them in the sun to dry.
