Even though the hotel was under renovation, the renovation process did not disturb us. The staff were helpful and courteous. There is the indoor pool, a full service bar and restaurant on premises, and in the back was a picnic area where we enjoyed drinking our coffee watching the deer early in the morning. The staff is always fantastic. The housekeeper on the fourth floor went out of her way to ask if we needed anything when opting to not have them come in and clean since we'd only been there a night. Wonderful people. I'll most certainly be back.

We were looking for a quiet getaway for the long July 4 weekend, and that's exactly what we got. We stayed in the lodge itself (there are also cottages with more amenities, which cost more), and had a clean, comfortable room. The owner and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. When the owner found out that I have cancer and my husband has a back injury, he offered to upgrade us to a cottage so that we wouldn't have to climb the stairs. He also had a breakfast tray brought up to my husband. The room was very comfortable, and the lodge and its grounds are beautiful. We hope to go back during the summer so we can use the pool.

Actually, there was nothing I didn't like. The room was clean and fit the bill. I was in Gettysburg for a funeral at Saint Francis Xavier Church and the move in and out was quick and easy. Very friendly and helpful staff every time I interacted with them. Leone was especially friendly and personable. He hung out and kept me company in the office one night as I waited for a cab that I later found out would take over 2 hours to get there (i just ended up driving). The room was very nice and I really appreciated that the furniture was left how I had rearranged it.
