  We (young couple - 28 yo) stayed in this hostel during one week to visit ny. We spent a very nice time at this place. The bedroom (economy-cheap) was little but nice, confortable and clean (queen bed, sink, mirror, window). We had a shared bathroom always clean and available (morning and evening) ! The breakfast was very nice (cereals, some fruits... cosa dice la gente » , bread, bagel, hard egg, jam, butter, honey, tea, coffee, milk, juice ...). The location was perfect to visit Manhattan, very close to metro, between - Frankie at the front desk was wonderful. The location was very close to the 8th avenue subway station which was a nice line to ride and see the city. The breakfast was delicious and the other guests were friendly. The water pressure in the shower was good (a plus for me). The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job cleaning the room daily. Very quiet during our stay both from other rooms and from the outside. There is a grocery store on 8th ave between 22nd and 21st (2 minute walk).

  This B&B is beautiful! We loved that each morning the chef would make four gourmet breakfast options made with fresh vegetables, fruit, and herbs from their garden... and that was in addition to the wonderful continental buffet. The owner was so kind that he changed my room on upstairs to the most easily accessible one on downstairs!!! I was so touched by genuine kindness from all the stuff , too. This is the best inn I have ever stayed! Thank you for your hospitality.

  My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at this charming Inn! The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating and friendly. I have food restrictions and contacted them ahead of time about it.   Great place to stay. Very clean. Jim is an awesome host and makes you feel very welcome. We arrived in very heavy rain and he was outside with umbrellas for us. Then took us on a tour and suggested places for us to eat. Overall amazing stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone. Continental Breakfast in the mo - Great Restored Mansion of inventor D. H. Burrell who invented the milking machine and the oil burner( What a combination). The mansion has a 19th century elevator and a hydroelectic plant that was powered by a stream that ran through the house. The rooms are large and bring you back in time to another period in history. The staff bends over backwards for you and my wife and I enjoyed finding this gem. The Mansion is on a hill overlooking the town and the Erie Canal. The view is one of a kind.

  We stepped off the street and into the past. What a place to stay at. One of the highlights of our stay in America. We were met by Felicia, the gracious hostess, and shown around the house and to our room furnished with period furniture with the mod cons discretely available. We were given a code for the front door so we could arrive at all hours and immediately set off to a nearby subway to see the town. Felt s - Kiki, I guess the house manager, has been brilliant. She has fixed our room arrangement issue and has been helpful on many other things. We love the room setting - very homy and luxuries at the same time, bathroom/towels are very clean. Have to mention the breakfast too - good selection and extremely nice dinning room.
