  I found them very friendly at the desk. When we got there there were a group of teenagers staying at the hotel and were very rowdy.with not a lot of supervision.   Our fourth- floor balcony room had a wonderful view of Mirror Lake and the mountains. It was conveniently situated on the main street in the town of Lake Placid, which had nightly live music in the lakefront park. There were numerous restaurants and shops. The hotel is within walking distance from the Olympic ice rinks. We stayed a week and - This place is an authentic jewelry! The location is ideal, in the lively city center but right on the lake, featuring a private beach provided with chairs, canoe, paddle boats, toys for the kids, etc.; the staff is professional and attentive, the people in charge of the room cleaning very efficient; our room was quiet and comfortable; the pool and the whirlpools are a nice "plus". We will definitively come back!
