Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. Ferndale hotel is on its own nestled high up on a ledge surrounded by trees making it a very cosy romantic place to stay just what we wanted and the four poster room number 6 was clean and the bed was beautiful and comfortable. The view! Even more so, the pool with a view! It's close to the coastal path for walks and set in a very peaceful residential area high up on the hill as is implied in the name.Charming and friendly service with the willingness to cater for individual dietary needs. Nothing was too much trouble. Well cooked breakfast and, thank goodness, a proper sized bath towel.
