What can I say. The shirley met all our expectations, and I know I am really fussy. The staff was very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Always happy to help. The Shirley lives up to its reviews. And I am happy to chime in. Our
standard room was of sufficient size and had a nice bath: I looked into
one of the superior rooms, and it was lovely. One aspect I particularly
liked was the power strip that allowed me to recharge all my various
devices in a short period of time. The breakfast was superb -- my
husband could not begin to finish his omelette; my English was made from
fresh ingredients and, important to me, not greasy. But the best was

The stay was magnificent. Hotel staff were very helpful and extreemly polite, the hotel itself was very clean and tidy, and the room was refurbished to a very high standard. My partner and i were very impressed. - Made us feel very welcome, tea and biscuits on arrival. Good restaurant recommendation and couldn't have been more accommodating.
