Hambleden village is absolutely beautiful and is just 4 miles from Henley, so is convenient for either the quiet countryside or the more lively atmosphere of town. We received a warm welcome from Dan and the rest of the staff that we encountered on our one night stay. We booked a classic room and was allocated 'The Pit' which was a very pretty, clean and well presented room. Good pub food in the evening and an excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Highly recommended for some country style R&R!!

very friendly efficient staff. Clean room. Very good breakfast. Good value - Staff pleasant, and the lady who greeted us was very helpful in discovering information for us, giving us the fresh milk requested in ample quantity and ordering us a taxi. Car park very useful. Location good.

We loved staying in Merton Grounds. The room was very spacious and very very clean. What impressed us the most, is that everything was so well though of - from the selection of teas and coffees in the room, to fresh milk, cookies and great toiletries. The bed was so comfortable, with amazing duvet and pillows.
Beautiful place, comparable to any 5* hotel and extremely cozy

Interior layout and design was really very well done, couldn't stop looking at the timber framing. Really very comfortable and the underfloor heating was a real winner after being out with frozen feet.
The breakfast was cooked to a pre-arranged time and it was beautiful, quality ingredients.
The bus stop in to Oxford was a 5 min walk with a regular service until quite late, ideal.

late on friday night (they even bought it up to our room when we asked).

Room - very comfortable. Good shelf of up-to-date books. Twin beds pushed together - very comfortable. Good breakfast. Nice bathroom. On rear of building, over courtyard, away from traffic noise. Ian, the owner, was helpful and available, as was the under manager (?) whom we met at breakfast. Quiet sitting rooms front and back. Excellent restaurant in Sheep Street (The Lamb) as Burford House chef away during our visit.

Extremely friendly owner/staff. They were very accomodating and couldn't do enough to make our stay exactly as we wanted it. Anything you want Romney to do just ask and she will try her very best! The room was beautiful and the bathroom was large and inviting!!! You also have a guest dining room and lounge which was a lovely touch and we made use of all the rooms. Quaint little English town. Extremely close to Woodstock and located in the backyard of the Blenheim Palace. Recently renovated B&B. A no brainer!!! Also right across the street to where Sir Winston Churchill is buried. Also the White House Pub located near this B&B (a simple walk) is outstanding. Book this place early as chances are it will become unavailable.
