  Hambleden village is absolutely beautiful and is just 4 miles from Henley, so is convenient for either the quiet countryside or the more lively atmosphere of town. The Stag and Huntsman Inn is full of character, the staff are very attentive, the food is very good and our room was lovely, spotlessly clean with complimentary shampoo etc. There was p... cosa dice la gente » lenty of choice of teas, coffee, drinking chocolate, still and sparkling water and biscuits in our room. Will be back some time in the future - We received a warm welcome from Dan and the rest of the staff that we encountered on our one night stay. We booked a classic room and was allocated 'The Pit' which was a very pretty, clean and well presented room. Good pub food in the evening and an excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Highly recommended for some country style R&R!!

  We booked this hotel instead of the Spreadeagle in Thame, and were very glad that we did. It had been a long drive down and we were both tired, and once we had sorted out our choice of room at reception entered into Room 129, a fair walk but well worth it. I had the bread, olives and hummus, and my partner the Goats cheese tartlet, - We had a very comfortable stay at the Oxfordshire. The staff were all friendly helpful and service good. The bed at the hotel was amazing so big and comfortable. The rooms are modern and cosy and were very clean! The food was very good service in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was a buffet style and was lovely really enjoyed it. The spa is also very nice - pool is book and sauna and steam both relaxing. Really nice hotel with wonderful golf course and close to Bicester village.

  We booked into our standard room,which was well above standard. All was good until we found that the bathroom sink was blocked. The staff arranged for maintenance to come to the room. They were unable to fix the problem straight away, therefore the manager arrived and moved us immediately to a superior room with complimentary drinks. Will definitely stay again. - Absolutely loved this hotel! I booked the Malmaison mainly for the fact that it is a converted jail and that it was in a Lewis episode. It was a bit of a splurge & worth every penny! The bar was fantastic & both bartenders that we encountered were quite lovely! We were treated really well by both gentlemen. By far one of the best experiences I've had in a hotel in the uk. I would love to come back & spend more time.

Really very comfortable and the underfloor heating was a real winner after being out with frozen feet. The breakfast was cooked to a pre-arranged time and it was beautiful, quality ingredients. The bus stop in to Oxford was a 5 min walk with a regular service until quite late, ideal.
