  Owner was really nice, very accomodating as we arrived late and had to leave early - made us lovely bacon sarnies at the ridiculous time of 6am!! Lovely room, very modern and clean. - high standard of accommodation for the money - very clean ,friendly and good food

  The overall ambience of the hotel. Friendly staff. Clean, fresh room decoration. We also enjoyed the location with a bonus of a restaurant overlooking woodland.   We stayed at the Dial House for two nights. It was not planned trip and was a last minute booking. We could not have asked for more. The family were wonderful, really friendly and helpful.   very friendly efficient staff. Clean room. Very good breakfast. Good value - Staff pleasant, and the lady who greeted us was very helpful in discovering information for us, giving us the fresh milk requested in ample quantity and ordering us a taxi. Car park very useful. Location good.

We dined at the restaurant on the Friday evening, and the quality of the food was great, as were the breakfasts. - Don't judge a book by it's cover... it's not in the best position as it's on a busy crossroads, but don't miss out - go in! You will not be dissapointed and once you're in you don't hear the traffic at all. The staff, the room, the food - everything was first class! The owners have spent a fortune but it's been well spent and it just works! We had a very lovely stay, will be coming back and telling all our friends. Thank you!

  The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel special, such as preparing a meal especially for us when we arrived late on friday night (they even bought it up to our room when we asked). Ian, the owner, was helpful and available, as was the under manager (?) whom we met at breakfast. Quiet sitting rooms front and back. Excellent restaurant in Sheep Street (The Lamb) as Burford House chef away during our visit.
