  Beautiful room;very clean and plenty of space. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast! Perfect location; very quite but only a few minutes walk to the city through the museum gardens. Sherry and mince pies at the front door was a lovely touch around Christmas time. Will definitely be booking back here on another visit to York. The room was immaculate and very cosy, only a short walk away from the city centre. Breakfast - delicious. Overall, couldn't have asked for more. We thoroughly recommend it!

  We arrived during a blizzard and were greeted by a Barman who was very friendly and took us to room,and made sure we had everything we needed.The room was lovely and warm and the view from our room stunning.We ate in the bar,the food was excellent and thae waiting staff very helpful.Sadly we only stayed one night,and left after a delicious breakfa... cosa dice la gente » st. - Every aspect of my stay was enjoyable, the room was very comfortable, the staff were polite and friendly,the food was tasty and well presented, the bar restaraunt and gardens were very popular with guests & non guests.Also the information available for local sights and activities etc was as impressive as the setting/views.

  Everything was great about the Queensland Guest House. The room was fantastic, by far the best I've stayed in on my travels here. Perhaps the best thing about it was the excellent location and view out of the windows. The staff was so nice and welcoming as well.   The guest hose is pretty close to the Whitby station, a 10 minutes walk away. The lady owner and her daughters were very nice, jolly and cordial. The room I was staying was a single room. Though a bit too small, but was enough for a single person to stay. Was clean and had a nice bed.
