  The friendliness of the family run hotel and their helpfullness. Cleanliness was of a very high standard. The views over the bay were breathtaking. - I found the staff to be very polite and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.

  Beautiful room;very clean and plenty of space. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast! Perfect location; very quite but only a few minutes walk to the city through the museum gardens. Sherry and mince pies at the front door was a lovely touch around Christmas time. Will definitely be booking back here on another visit to York.   We arrived during a blizzard and were greeted by a Barman who was very friendly and took us to room,and made sure we had everything we needed.The room was lovely and warm and the view from our room stunning.We ate in the bar,the food was excellent and thae waiting staff very helpful.Sadly we only stayed one night,and left after a delicious breakfa... cosa dice la gente » st. - Every aspect of my stay was enjoyable, the room was very comfortable, the staff were polite and friendly,the food was tasty and well presented, the bar restaraunt and gardens were very popular with guests & non guests.Also the information available for local sights and activities etc was as impressive as the setting/views.

  Excellent value. Beautiful location providing great opportunity for walks. Good welcome. It was nice to be able to return and make a warm drink after our walk even though it was our check out day. Thanks - The room and other facilities like toilets and showers were very clean and the staff behaviour were really friendly.

  We picked up the keys and were delighted when we saw the apartment, which is actually a little cottagey type house, overlooking Clifton Green. It was very modern, clean and simple. Everything we needed was all there for us. It was incredibly great value (£90 for 3 of us) and only a 5 minute walk from the city centre. The wetroom was lovely too. Friendly owners Nichola was very accommodating when we arrived early and let us park our car and leave our luggage! Will definately be using this accommodation again for our next trip to York :)
