On arrival we were greeted at the door by the hotel manager and several
staff wishing my wife happy birthday. Then given a tour of the hotel and
shown to our room which was "FINGLE" it was wonderful.

A truly magical place. Even though we only stayed for a weekend, it felt much longer as we were so relaxed. The views and surrounding area are spectacular, and the welcome and service by the staff are the best that we have experienced. We had only been there about three hours and we were talking about when we could make a return trip. Truly wonderful.

The rooms are lovely, and the beautiful garden in a very peaceful setting allows you to relax and enjoy afternoon tea and cake, and later a pre dinner drink.
The staff are very friendly and the meals delicious with locally sourced ingredients. -

The room we stayed in was, I think, the largest in the hotel and was very comfortable. Very nice bed linen and well chosen bathroom fittings. Plenty of hot water for showers and bath etc. Also, the room was never too hot, which hotel rooms often are. We were staying three nights and ate in every evening and couldn't fault it.
It was so nice to have proper sized bath sheets. Altogether very comfortable and we would stay again.

This is a new business and the owners are doing a great job of making you feel very welcome. We got the impression that there are still one or two small jobs to correct but no doubt they will be perfected. The whole house has been converted to a very high standard and is extremely clean and modern.

Lovely friendly welcoming owners, gorgeous decor & comfy big bed. Really lovey breakfast, local produce. I noticed Neil knew everyone's names. I think that's a great quality to take the time to learn that. Great location & taxi's are about £3.50 from town so treat yourself & don't do the walk up hill back. Car park on site. Choose a room with a view, the views from here are stunning.

Loved the bathroom and general ambiance of the house, really genuine old enlish country house, very relaxing but not stuffy. Delightful family running it, all without exception very friendly. Delicious breakfast, and exceptionally clean rooms, they were tidied and cleaned up everytime we walked out of the door.

Most of the food is Good, Fish is excellent and Breakfast is also excellent and service is very good considering the volume of customers and amount of covers being served. Waiting times for food at peak times can be 60 minutes so dont wait

room. The location is brilliant for walking the coast path to beautiful
bays, and only 15 minutes drive to Salcombe. The village of Hope Cove is
really pretty and quiet, with a very small Post Office stores.
