This was a perfect break. The staff are such a friendly team and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The views out over the fells make you feel relaxed in the first 5 minutes. A tramp in the sun, a swim, a spell in the hot tub outside and then a good meal - what else could you want for your holiday? -

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was clean and spacious and the food was of very good quality. The all you can eat breakfast was suberb. A lovely setting overlooking the river. The Riverside is probably one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in in a long time, and certainly for the price. Excellent leisure facilities, excellent bar, staff were fabulous, rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. I was on a work trip, but i'm seriously going back for another stay with the woman i love. Maybe even the wife.

They also has great suggestions for child-friendly places to eat and a wonderful location where we could walk wherever we wanted to go. The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The
views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was
nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge
and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two
Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly
as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really
beautiful and well worth a longer visit.

Steve and Vicky are very hospitable owners and personaly very nice people. One can feel they put their hert into this their work. They helped us a lot long before our travel by answering our questions (best choice of the Lakes tour, walking paths, arrival to WIndermere etc.)

Ideally located between Bowness and Windermere. 10-15 minutes stroll either way. Steve and Vicky are the friendliest B n B people that we have met (stayed in over 12 other B n Bs). Invergarry is such a welcoming place. The bed was really comfortable. We stayed in a small double but this was a reasonable size for a couple of nights and didn't feel small. Breakfast was delicious - homemade muesli, jam and marmalade. Best breakfast that we have had in a B N B. Really lovely touches in the rooms -

Warm and comfortable with everything we could want. Stayed in Silverdale which was large with a gorgeous bathroom and comfortable bed. Great choice for breakfast. - Friendly atmosphere created by the staff and excellent servicethroughout. Rooms are very spacious and have recently been decorated toa high standard.

Lovely country inn with a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The public areas have a local, historic feel e.g. the downstairs bar still has the old stalls from horse drawn days; charming. The staff are friendly and efficient, the bar has a great selection of local beers and ales and the food is superb. Our room, while small, was extremely well appointed and comfortable, excellent en suite facilities with a super powerful shower, bliss.

We stayed at the Bay House some 12 months ago and enjoyed the location and we they decided to back this week. The place is now under new management who have only been in for 2 months or so, but are making a very good go of the place. We enjoyed our weekend as the Bay House Lake View Guest House is central to everything, pubs, shops, lake and roads

Maxine & Graham the new owners are very welcoming and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable room, very good choice of breakfast and homemade cake in the room every day which was wonderful bonus! Issued with a car park pass so no worries about parking. Easy walking distance to the amenities of Bowness but quiet at night, the location is excellent.
