In area with work, second time have stayed here now, perfectly located both for Irlam and Warrington.
Reception staff are welcoming and efficient. This time, even a small mix up with double booking sorted out perfectly.
The suite that I was in was a great size, comfortable and well stocked with enough for a short trip.

Rooms were lovely, spacious and really comfortable and had hot drink
making facilities. We were there for a wedding and the setting is
beautiful. Even in this horrible cold, snowy weather the gardens
were really well kept. After the bar closed we were allowed to sit
in the lounge area and talk so bar staff also great! I'd love to
go here again.

that the room was clean,the staff were very pleasant,and the food was lovely - We only stayed one night,but were made welcome by Ray on reception,a nice comfortable room,and a good full English on the morningsreved by a very pleasant Tracy.Looking out on to the main road did not bother us at all (noise) we slept like logs....Les.

Amazing facilities and the restaurant food is fantastic, the best Yorkshire steak i had in my life so far! The rooms are really nice. It has gone through an recent uplift and you can see it was a quick job in the finishing but you get over it as at the end of the day, it light years from any bandb. The welcome on arrival and also the ability to email the owner beforehand to check certain details and arrange to have breakfast early which was well cooked to our specification. The whole house was beautifully clean and fresh. We also had access to a guest lounge which proved useful. Very relaxing. We would not hesitate o book again.

The pub itself is lovely, nice and traditional with big log fires. The room we stayed in was located upstairs above the pub, it was big, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, informative and very accommodating. It was a really pleasant atmosphere and a lovely location. Also we had dinner on Saturday which started a little late as we were a large group and the restaurant was quite full - we got to dessert and the waiter made it for us as the chef had finished for the day - superb service and more than could be expected.

Room was excellent. Clean and homely with lots of character. Towles and linen crisp and spotless. TV/DVD combi with freeview. The owners are very friendly and accomodating. Great value for money. Good 'locals' pub. Village location. Overall, a really comfortable 4 night stay. Going back next week !!!

It was a lovely place, we requested a ground floor room,(as I use a stick) we were given room 12, the family room, it was a lovely size room, and just off the bar, but nice and quiet.

The rooms were very clean and user friendly. They had obviously recently been refurbished as were the bathrooms. The shower was huge - very luxurious. Loved the friendly atmosphere of the pub area downstairs which also included a heated terrace area out the front. Breakfast was good. Free parking on site. Only 10 minute walk into town. every week for the last three months. On every occasion I have found Rosemary and Stephen to be most welcoming and helpful. My single room, with en suite toilet and shower, was unfailingly clean, comfortable and warm. I recommend this hotel without reservation. - Lovely quiet room. Very
