  The hotel is set right on the coast with wonderful views of Corbiere lighthouse. We stayed in October and the hotel was very, very quiet only a few guests. Our room was fantastic as it overlooked the coast, had a balcony and it was large and clean. The breakfast was also good too. So overall a great place! - The whole experience. The room had a wonderful view, comfy bed, en-suite, clean, decent sizes mugs for drinks in the room. Restaurant and bar clean and well staffed, food good. All staff very friendly and helpful. Garden and pool area facing the sea, very relaxing and peaceful. would like to return in future. Thr beach at St Brelade was beautiful with a good choice of restaurants and free car parking on Sunday!

  What is there not to like? The staff are simply brilliant - it's really nice to be recognised and addressed by name. We had a great room with a sea view. The bars are very good as are the restaurants and yes you really must try the Governors Indian cuisine at its best!!   Mot of the staff were very helpful and courteous. especially in the dining room.... Excellent. Liked our room and the gardens, very relaxing. general atmosphere of the place very good. - the staff were very friendly and helpful.I was with my 6 year old grandson and we had problems getting him out of the swimming pool.

  Lovely hotel, plenty of ground floor rooms to make life easier for families and OAPs. Free wi-fi (not well advertised) Staff very friendly & nothing too much trouble - The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back.

  We found our first experience of Jersey very welcoming because of the staff and facilities and comfort of the Shakespear. Special mention must be made of all the restaurant staff, who were exceptionally friendly and efficient - by the time we left, we felt like we were old friends.
