  This short break was booked for my partners Brithday , we stayed for 2 nights. The room we had was a deluxe double so I can only comment on that type of room , and it was very lovely , large and airy and extremely comfortable. The hotel has a lovely feel to it , it is charming and the environment is completely relaxing. I particularily enjoyed chilling out in the drawing room wit - Everything - didn't want to leave! - log fires in all the main rooms and even some bedrooms - not to be missed is afternoon tea and the knowledgeable bar staff who will educate you in their stock of whiskies and biggest selection of gins that we have ever seen.So peaceful - Duke and Scottish borders should be very proud

  I was given an overflow room at the hotel, which was actually a very quaint 1 bedroom cottage, a stones throw from the hotel.   Stuart and Sarah made me feel so welcome from the start. They could not have been more helpful, especially with sorting out a menu for my guests, some of whom had food allergies. The room was warm, very comfortable with lots of cosy touches, and ample tea and coffee making facilities.
