  This was a good, value-for-money, small, city hotel. The owner had designed both the bedrooms and public areas imaginatively, maximising the limited space. A pleasant ambiance.   Pembroke Guest House is the best B&B that I have ever stayed for any vacation!! The house is 10 minutes bus ride to Oxford center and the bus stop is just outside the house, so it was so convenient. I love it, not just the place is so nice and clean, also Clare is a super NICE host! When we just arrived, Clare gave us a map with all t - The B&B is split over two houses and is beautifully appointed and clean. The owners live just opposite, are perfect hosts from checking your personal dietary requirements for breakfast to making recommendations of local places to see and eat. The house is about a 3 mile walk (along the Thames) into Oxford, which was delightful in the spring sunshine, while watching various boat races.   The nice lady (Susan or Sue?) who made breakfast was friendly and cooked fast. It felt like my mum was cooking breakfast for me which was lovely! (Quite different to having a buffet breakfast where you can't meet who has cooked the food.) The room and hallway etc smelt fresh. Generous with towels and pillows, excellent. TV had Freeview, great. - Derrick, Heather, and Clara were so kind and welcoming. My room was small, but snug and very comfortable. It was very clean! I loved the teapot and selection of drinks in my room. The refrigerator was very nice to have as well. I was there for one week and never dreaded coming home to Cotswold House.

I have stayed in 5 different hotels over the summer and none of them were anywhere near the standard of the Remont. It was not plush or luxurious but a place where i felt immediately at home .
