Originally we booked 4 nights in another central London hotel, but we were very displeased with that hotel's room condition and the way their personnel attended to our complaints. The transport links were also very good and only a 3 minute walk away. I cannot wait to stay at the Flemings Mayfair again.

You could also walk to a number of museums, Royal Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace. Apartment wasn't spacious, but certainly enough room for the four of us.
