Cosa dice la gente
The accomodation is in a separate cottage adjacent to the Inn so no 'pub type' associated noise. The cottage has been restored to provide 3 beautifully equipped en-suite rooms, quality furnishings, comfortable bed, comp. hot and cold drinks and a motorised reclining arm chair! The breakfast was first class, the poached eggs perfect, the Ship Inn atmospheric. Wendy and Stuart are great hosts. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The owners Wendy and Stuart Whiffin were very 'warm and friendly'. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Wendy's breakfast 'sets you up for the day'. The evening meals are a good price and plentiful. The food is freshly cooked, no microwaving or instant meals here I'm happy to say. A real ale drinkers paradise. Will definitely come again, and recommend it to others. The room and theview were beautiful. The room had a DVD player with DVD's to watch. Complimentary soft drinks and lots of tea and coffee. The room provided home from home comfort. Breakfast was amlpe and the cooked breakfast was very tasty. Best b and b we have stayed in and we will use it again. Wendy and Stewart, the proprietors, make oneself feel at homeinstantly due to their open, friendly attitude - and not to forget the excellent home-cooked pub dinner and full English breakfast. A special highlight of staying at the Ship Inn is the view from the "Sea View Suite"!. Me and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. The Bar was a little dated, but the rooms were excellent especially the Deck Room with its great views of the sea and the terrace. Will definately be returning in the next month or so. The owner was very welcoming and our room was amazing!! Very cozy and over looking a lovely beach!!. Location facing the sea; comfort of the room; welcoming staff; excellent food and drink. the whole thing was great-so different- needs some renovation in hallways etc.personal attention from proprietor.....location right on the beach. Magnificent room with good sea views. Good breakfast. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The owners were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The Full English Breakfast was made of high quality ingredients and set us up for the day. The bar has a great deal of character created over the years and friendly locals and staff. Nice place to stay, modern rooms with super beds! Bathroom is small but functional and the seaside view is great.Good Size Room, Well Equipped Hotel, Right by the Sea. very Comftable Bed. Will be Back. Very friendly owners, beautiful well appointed room. Very convenient for Channel Tunnel.Friendly staff and lovely room with all mod cons. Breakfast was excellent aswell. Staff were very friendly. accomadation and food first class. Friendly landlady.location. the view from the 1st floor was great ! The noise from the main road at the front of the pub did not reach the room at the back and consequently the combination of quietness and the view made it a great stay.Location was excellent, overlooking the sea. Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Excellent heating system udring a very cold snap. Good local pub, very good room clean and comfortable. The bedroom, location and friendly staff. Fabulous room with sea view although you do pay extra. Friendly family run pub with rooms.Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, good breakfast. The home made food, and we were made welcome. The sea view room was nice although if offering freeview on the great flat screen telly in the room, the signal needs to be much better.Clean well furnished room friendly attitude and good honest food. nothing, just a travellers tip,no cashpoint in the village, but this just added to the charm!!. Parking was a problem. Breakfast (which was excellent) was eaten in the bar. But I understandthe hotel is being refurbished and this will be changed.Telephone was down so I couldn't tell them I would be late. Accommodation area is not quite finished, although the room was excellent. Previous reviews complained about parking. I had no problem parking right at the door. Parking difficult.would have been bad if raining had to go outside to our room, and reverse for meals. Wouldn't recommend eating in the bar at night, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. However, the owners told me that they are planning an improvement to the eating facilities which should be good.no, the breakfast is served in the pub which is next to the rooms...very nice atmosphere. Was unable to have a Cooked Breakfast as Owners were Away. But a Continental Breakfast was Supplied. Also our booking was Honoured even though they were not taking bookings, So was Greatfull for that.Pub is a bit scruffy - but nevertheless has bags of character. Parking could be a nightmare if it was the busy season. As it is ordinarily an Inn, the pub is the most important aspect of the building but that needs a bit of TLC and updating. However the deck room was very nice however, the room looks directly onto the deck where drinkers and diners sit. So could be noisy and would certainly impinge on privacy during opening hours. Pub was slightly run down but refurbishment was in hand. Shower. the bars were a bit scruffy/tired. The bars need some TLC and parking can be difficult at busy times, although this won't put me off staying there again. The general ambience is poor has the feel of a pub which has seen better days. Improvements are in hand for changes which reflect todays market for eating out.
