The room was large, comfortable, and very well furnished. Full scottish breakie here is one of my best memories of Scotland. Staff are also pretty terrific. We had a pine terrace room and they need some work, to be honest. Looking a bit had it. CLose to Ballater, a short walk. But make the drive to Braemar, its more chocolate box pretty. Fairly limited dining options in Ballater.

We like the location, but most of all it's the staff: can't find any complaint whatsoever, they're extremely friendly and go out of their way in looking after the guests, in fact I'd say they go beyond what's expected of them.
