  We were grateful that we did not have to share the accomadation as the bedrooms are very close, but we felt comfortable and warm, the whole apartment was very clean and a lady came in every day to change towels ect (you must ask as you have to pay 1Euro per towel).   Location is excellent: the center of old city. You need less than 5 minutes to go to Rambla (with metro station), port, Catalunia square. Appartments were clean (we took two bedroom appartments), kitchen had everything that we need. It's small, but large terrace has table that we used for our meals.   The staff there were extremely helpful, at arrival they gave us maps of Barcelona and a lot of tips of places to see, including many places not well known as tourist sites but turned out to be amazing! the Hostal was really clean and the room was cleaned everyday along with new towels. The staff were exceptional!! We travel a lot and I have never had such helpful friendly staff. The room we stayed in was small but the way they have designed the rooms they have been able to maximize the space and was very comfortable. The rooms are new and a beautiful modern design, comfortable beds, nice shower and great a/c! Everything about this place was perfect! I would definitely recommend staying here to everyone!

But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

  The room was small (perfect for a young couple) but everything seemed new and very clean. We had a small balcony off our room which was lovely and let lots of sunlight in. I was impressed by the quality for how much we paid. Great location for tourist attractions and just for wandering.   The location was great! Very close to the beach and you can see it from the balcony. Walking distance to the mall and restaurants. The apartment was cozy and well decorated...spacious. When you book, you'll get an email from the hotel asking for information and they tell you to call when you arrive. If you call them it takes about 15 minutes for them to get to you but yo - It was a really nice little studio apartment in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the beach, right next to super markets and restaurants and walking distance to the center. It was really clean and comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with basics like olive oil, tea and coffee. I would definitely stay there again. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Kitchen open all day for easy access to refrig, coffee, etc. - I loved the fact that the breakfast was laid out in a kitchen that was open to all guests all day.
