Classy, lovely finishes. Great service from staff. Our 7 year old really wanted pancakes for supper. Our waitress asked the pastry chef, who sent out 6 delicious pancakes with syrup - which we all devoured! -
Friendly professional greeting in the car park, reception was quick. Room and bathroom were clean, well appointed, beautifully decorated.

Although its in the city, you don't get to hear to city noise and the views from the hotel are very nice - From arrival to departure, we were made to feel that we were guests and not just people to fill rooms. We would stay there again when next we visit Durban.

Me, my hubby and 2 year old son had a fantastic stay @ the Coastlands on the ridge hotel. The hotel and rooms (big wow) are elegant and beautifully decorated (we had deluxe room) plus the view from the balcony looking out over durban is stunning. The staff were absolutely wonderful with my son, friendly and always helpfull especially @ reception (

Excellent young staff at all points.They seem to want to help rather than just provide service. The arrival & departure was warm. Even the security person in the car park wanted to do something to please.The young people in the reception and dining room were excellent.

Room exceptionally clean,staff very warm and helpful.Breakfast server with a smile by Your friendly chefs and staff.
l would have rated excellent on facilities,but telephone was not working and had to go downstairs to order room service which was a nightmare. Food server was horrible,given wrong order drink,to top it all,it was delivered 1/30(one

The staff was very friendly and warm. We were treated very well. The location of the hotel was very central to most tourist attractions and there was a great vibe. The breakfast was very nice as well. The hotel was ideal for a family as the fridge, kettle with beverages and sink plus microwave was a bonus as it made it possible to save on costs by not having to eat out and enjoy meals in the hotel, appreciating the views in the dining area. The hotel gets a 10/10 from me and i really got value

I erroneously left my wallet in the room that I had booked in. I immediately received a call advising me of the misplaced wallet. I received everything in good order, nobody had tampered with the contents. I'm still highly appreciative of the staff for their efficiency and integrity! I also highly appreciated the buffett at Saffron Restaurant!

The staff were excellent; friendly service, more than accommodating.
Room was perfect. Bathroom were lovely.
The meals were delicious, room service was quick, and when I was sick for a day in bed, the staff were more than happy to check up and see if I needed anything.
Very, very much appreciated and one of the nicest places to stay at a good rate.
Highly recommended.
