The hotel is well priced but the location is very dodgy to say the
least.We were able to get parking at least.The close proximity of the
bars are a huge turnoff and that coupled with the night staff at the
front desk being so indifferent to my child who tried to greet was not a

there again.It is not kid friendly. - We had a nice weekend @ Albany hotel together with my friends. The positive thing is transport is just near meaning local taxis without a hassle in just few seconds. The friendly staff of Albany hotel always available to assist with a smile. The other thing is it's secure because the security is always around 24/7 and all this services @ an affordable price. Will definitely book @ Albany again. Keep up the good work!!

The rooms are very spacious, i like the little kitchen with the zinc and small fridge, very convenient and the sleeper couch for the kids. -

This Manor is old, but we liked it. Felt like we travelled back in time.

The total experience, but primarily the rewriting of history. The colonial history of the hotel is abundantly clear in its incredible collection of wooden furniture, tap crowns, low door handles, etc. However, it reflects a poetic irony in the Madiba art collection and his inspiring words in his own handwriting, and the "new" queen of the castle halfway up the majestic stair case. I would like to say a big thank you to the Hotel Manager(i think his
name is Lunga) who was on duty. Although he is so young, he was so
polite, professional and very respectful. Also the staff at breakfast,
they we very friendly. The hotel is very clean and safe which made our
stay very comfortable. Once again thank you to all the hotel staff. -

the staff was exceptionally friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. the rooms are spacious and the bed are really comfortable. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and we can safely say all the meals were gourmet meals which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Gateway holiday for a wonderful stay -

I stayed at the Tropicana in December 2010 and was not impressed at all. During my last stay I notced a remarkable improvement, i.e refurbishment, staff, etc. Well done! -
The fact that it is on the beach front and our bus just dropped us at the door, that was awesome. Value for money as well.

The special treats at night by closing the curtains, open of beds and
chocolates were very special and a nice touch. The design and re-use of
an old building is such a clever idea and most pleasing to the eye. The
chef at breakfast as well as supper and presentation was excellent.
Overall, everyone was friendly and efficient. The view was amazing

The venue is situated at the habour, so we could view the activities of
the harbour which was interesting. The venue is also very peaceful and
quite, so if you want to relax, away from the "city in the
city", this is ideal. We also loved the lounge area outside in the
courtyard, so if you want to have your meal or drinks outside the
restaurant, it makes it an excellent option.
