I thought that Macek Rooms was perfect for my first trip to lovely
Ljubljana. I was a bit nervous when I saw that most of the rooms are
directly above the busy cafe, but the sound isolation was pretty good.

Room was great size, lots of room to spill out of our suitcases. Fabulous location and great vibe, lots of people enjoying the sunshine and warmth. Free wi-fi and use of the Lonely Planet Slovenia book for our stay. Breakfast was great. Loved the coffee mugs and having breakfast in the cafe downstairs, all part of the experience. Fab restaurant across the alley way as well

When we searched for a hotel for three nights in Ljubljana we soon found
Vander Urbani. The free accesible pool on top of the building was the
final argument. When we arrived in Ljubljana city Google navigation
tried to deliver us at the Hotel but there is no way you can reach the
Hotel by car we found out. So we had to park our car in the nearest

We really enjoyed our stay at the Vander Urbani resort. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious.
We stayed in a deluxe suite with river view and it was on the pedestrian street in a great location.
Someone met us in the nearby car park to help with our luggage and we got help going back also.
Ljubljana is such a beautiful little town, we are glad we made a stop there.
We had lunch at Valvasor which I highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights in a 1-bedroom apt and 1 night in a dbl bedroom. The apt was very good, everything worked, good mattrass and a huge couch for a third person to sleep on. Airconditioning worked fine. That was in fact the only problem we had in the dbl bedroom: the air-con didn't cool properly but that is something that can be fixed. Location was great. There's noise from the terraces nearby but is to be expected during summer and such lovely weather. Close your windows and perhaps earplugs. W

This hotel is located in the old town and in walking distance of most
attractions. Hotel and Rooms where done out in old style furniture which
was great. Staff were excellent, went out of the way all the time to
much sure you are happy and Reception staff wear casual clothes which
makes you more relax when checking in. Room was very clean, quiet and
comfortable. Breakfast was typical European which was good and I have
never seen before so much cleaning being done every day at a small
