It's in a beautiful old building in the centre of the city. The
rooms are great and very comfortable, and the staff is very friendly.
There's a good restaurant and bar downstairs, which is busy with a
young crowd most evenings. There are also several good restaurants, and
a 24-hour supermarket, within a 5-minute walk. I strongly recommend it.

This family run hotel exudes charm and tranquility. It is clean, spacious, nicely furnished. The staff are all very friendly and efficient although not fully confident at the moment. It is excellent value if you want to stay somewhere quiet which is walking distance from the centre. There are excellent bars and restaurants nearby. -

The room was a single room and as such, very spacious. The room was renovated recently so everything in the room as well as in the bathroom, was new and spotless. There was enough closet space, the heating worked very well, and the bed was very comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Bedroom newly renovated and very well furnished. Refurbishment of the entrance and lobby area I was told will start soon. Hotel centrally located within easy walking distance of Piata Universitate, where I was able to sample the vin Fiert (mulled wine) at the Christmas market, and watch the spectacular illuminations.
I will certainly stay here again on my frequent transits from Petrosani to the Airport.

There seems to be no secret of hospitality to the hotel managers - they thought of every single tiny detail that might be important to a capricious traveller. Everything looked and was very natural but exquisite.

I have had a pleasant stay in the Berthelot hotel; Clean and hygiene hotel room. The staffs were just friendly and helpful. I met an incident during my stay whereby I had loss my valuable sport watch in my room, however, the hotel security was so professional, after several details investigation and they would finally able to help me search back my losses watch; I felt extremely grateful and thankful for that great assistance to this hotel management. I guess it was fairly new concept for me, long term appartments, in hotel regime. In this sense it was extremly quiet and pleasant plus 24 hours reception(on a separate entry) and 24 hours security at appartments entry. Location was as central as it gets. - location, quiet

Cortesia del personale, pulizia e aspetto della camera (junior suite), posizione centrale ma tranquilla, vicinanza di 3 buoni ristoranti (max 500 metri dall'hotel). - Mi trovo molto bene, quando vengo a Bucarest per lavoro scelgo sempre questo hotel. E' nuovo, piccolo e l'atmosfera è familiare.

2. Staff very nice and friendly, its helpful to email them the hour you arrive, as after midnight they might not have full time somebody at the reception if not expectign guests.
