  The reception staff were very helpful and friendly on arrival. The bar very cosy, with open fire....very nice. The food was great and lots of options for the kids, the whole place was extremely child friendly. Top rate place to stay. - staff were very informative helpful friendly approachable rooms tdy comfortable budget friendly surroundings lovely covered everything with the restaurant tho we never got to try it out and a pub down the way easy to walk to and the 4 square if you needed food or extras lots to do in that area.

  We stayed at the plateau for 5nights and it was absolutely fantastic. Andrea the owner and operator was a very kind and forthcoming lady and had many suggestions on what to do as wet weather alternatives. The room was immaculate and beautifully arranged. With only a 15 minute drive to Whakapapa, it was nice and handy and National Park Village is a... cosa dice la gente » quiet little sleepy place so we found it a perfect place to wind down and relax. With the station restaurant just down the road, its a complete packa - A family runned lodge, that have build up a very nice accomodation to stay near tongariro. Very friendly and helped us excellent throughout out planning of the trip and were also helpfull during the stay. The ensuite room was equipped with a fridge, we also liked the complementary hottub! The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area, and they also provide a shuttlebus pickup to the tongariro crossing.

  Clean facilities and friendly staff and the proximity to the things we did .Sorting of rubbish excellent.possibly more sensor lights as in kitchen would be good esp in halls and bathrooms. - Lovely warm fire in the lounge to relax in. Fantastic host - answered all our questions and offered breakfast as required. Good shared facilities.

  The owners are very charming, welcoming and helpful, and make a good breakfast - thanks! Our room was of a good size, and comfortable, because it was carpeted and had plaster walls - as opposed to other budget motels with cold block walls and tiled floors. I won't comment on any shortfalls because at this rate you get a good deal. And its away ... cosa dice la gente » from the large road, so is quiet. Would stay again! - The bed in the family unit was huge and so soft. The units were warm and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had booked for a few nights yet the weather turned bleak and the the owners let us change our booking without any penalty. Very kind and informative hosts.

  Exactly what you would hope to find from a Lodge in a national park – everything clean,comfortable and good quality. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant – probably the best fish I have ever tasted. Also really good views of the sunset from the bedroom window. However, the most impressive thing was the owners Micki and Callum who make all th... cosa dice la gente » eir visitors very welcome.We had an emergency situation whilst staying there and they were extremely helpful and thoughtful - making lots of phone ca - Nice facility, plenty of room and a good place to stay after the typical tiny NZ hotel room. Clean air and quiet, beautiful countryside. Best night's sleep I had in NZ. Restaurant was closed so we drove a few km away and had dinner in an upscale resort, was better than the normal cafe or pub food.
