  Having stayed in Hilton for a night just a few weeks earlier, I now regret I gave them a fairly good rating. Sofitel is at least one class better! We were lucky to get a complimentary upgrade to a larger room which was spacious, clean and made us feel special and welcome as guests. But even aside from this (which of course was a one-time luck), th... cosa dice la gente » e pool is clean, indoor and a lot bigger, the whole hotel is much more modern and nicely designed. Breakfast quality was on a similar level and very g - The staff were friendly, always greeted us as we passed by and no request was ever too much trouble. Loved the peaceful ambience of the hotel with the low lighting of candles after dark. Loved the location just made for a leisurely stroll or a power walk along the beautiful waterfront. The outdoor cafe worked well for a light breakfast and the restaurant and bar were great at night. All of those things worked together to make our stay special and memorable.
