  The location was excellent as we're the staff who were very helpful when I mistakenly threw some travel documentation into the hotel rubbish. They were genuinely happy when it was found.   There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which have bus going to the hakodate ropeway at a sceduled timing. The front desk staff - a lady was very helpful and flexible. My friend and I were early (by abt an hr) and she gave us a room even though check in is 3pm onwards. Just walk about 2 minutes from JR Station to get there and from there it takes just a minute to the Morning Market. The room is quite old but very neat and tidy. They have a big flat screen TV, green tea, hair dryer, Yukata and Obi set for changing clothes. The staff is very nice although we get here a bit late (8pm).   Very good location. Excellent, helpful staff, with fair spoken English. Nice, clean rooms (we stayed in two traditional Japanese rooms). The little restaurant downstairs was lovely and fairly-priced. - Staff were really friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help me to change to a room with better wifi reception. The room was quite sufficient for 3 adults and some small/medium luggages, but most importantly clean and comfortable. It's about 15 minutes walk from the JR Sapporo station, which is not so bad as long as you're not carrying a ton of luggage with you. Would definitely come back again!

  We arrived 2 hours early before check-in time on a rainy day and were immediately checked into one of the larger room. The room is nicely deco and very clean.The windows are facing the lake and you can even get a view of the Yutei mountain on a clear day. We stayed for 2 nights so were able to sample both western and japanese style cooking for dinner and breakfast. The - The pension is clean and comfortable, with the summer fireworks show visible from the lake view room windows. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious and a great value for the money. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, even with limited English ability. Overall, we highly recommend this place.
