I padroni di casa sono delle persone meravigliose e, anche se non parlano quasi per nulla inglese, riescono comunque a farsi capire e a mettervi a vostro agio. Ottimi anche sia la cena che la colazione in perfetto stile giapponese. - Lovely host with excellent cooking skills! Be ready to get pampered with fresh and delicate cuisines prepared by host. Love how we spent the night learning their traditional musical instruments - sasara etc. Location is perfect for a relaxing, tranquil trip. Will definitely pay another visit in future~ - Owners make a considerable effort to ensure you feel welcome and comfortable in their farmhouse. Located in historic village.

  Amazing experience staying in this 350 years old thatched cottage. The owners are very welcoming. Both dinner and breakfast are hearty and tasty. It was a great experience having our meals sitting around the open hearth. The host gave us a brief history about the farmhouse and the local culture. These all added to the experience. It is not overwhelmed by tourists as shirakawa-go. - Accomodation was traditional Japanese with futons on the floor we slept very well, the food was excellent (typical Japanese food served with all guests sat together around a fire). the host was lovely but it was very difficult as we didn't speak any Japanese and the host and other guests didn't speak much English. Over all it was a fantastic experience but a little expensive when you also consider all the bus travel to get to the village.
