When I asked them something (like recommendation for the transport to various sites or good restaurants nearby), they were willing to help and their suggestions and recommendations fit my needs. A minute away was a nice breakfast place and in and around the station there were numerous eating places for dinner. The Ryokan was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful in supplying maps and information on sightseeing.

  My wife and I stayed there and was very warmly welcomed by the staff. My wife is pregnant but we found sleeping on the tatami mattress comfortable. Aircon works well and the room and toilet was very clean. Also try the set breakfast which you have to pre-order, it was a delicious home-cooked meal. - Decided to get a room with a view of the Japanese garden, was definitely worth the extra money. The staff were exceptionally patient with our limited language ability and extremely helpful in regard to local information and travel questions. The room was very quiet and exceptionally clean, I would definitely recommend staying here, especially for those travelling with jr Pass as the location is very near the rail station.
