  I liked staying in Mestre. It was quiet and only a 15 to 20 minute bus ride to Venice. The bus runs quite late and is only a block and a half from the hotel. (#2 bus on via Piave) The building was secure and the neighbourhood felt safe. The young gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We spilled coffee over the bedclothes right down to the mattress. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. He came up and changed all the bedding and washed the bed! The place was cleaned every day. Location was alos very good. Near bus stop and train station with good access to Venice, Verona, Padua, etc. Free safe and wi-fi and good security for the block.

It's only 5min walk to Mestre railway station. They give you 2-3 huge towels, so no need to carry you own. The shower cabin can be small only if you are obese - otherwise it is perfectly big and there's always hot water. You can even change them every day. The bed was spacious and comfortable, the sheets were clean and soft. Excellent value for money, I highly recommend it. The staff were nice, police, fluent in English.

The property is located in a really quiet street, maki - Friendly and comfortable place in Mestre we used this as a base to explore Venice and surrounding areas from. The place is modern and air-conditioned with double glazed windows, very comfortable. Easy walk to nearby "Voltourno" bus station which is easy to get to town and to Venice on. Difficult to get a bus timetable anywhere though with connections etc. We took the T1 from Voltourno to Columbo (2 stops) then onto the 4L to Venice.
