  This place must be the best value in Reykjavik. I walked into my room and had a mini-jaw drop as I saw the quality of the furnishings, the comfortable bed, the NEWness of everything, and a well-stocked kitchenette. Breakfast is a tray of goodies - bread, jams, cheese. The front desk staff is VERY nice and helpful. P - Everything was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi in room, kitchen facilities, ipod dock), and the bath was lovely. The staff were friendly & helpful, dealing with some of my tourist queries including phone calls to local tour companies. The location is very central and you can walk to all shopping, bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Most tour companies pick up and drop off outside the hotel.

  My friend and I stayed here for 5 days in May. The location is perfect for walking around the city, but far enough from the noise of the bars. We got a room on the 4th floor with a balcony (no elevator). We stayed at the address where you check in. We booked a studio apartment with a full bed. THey checked us in as soon as we arrived into 1 apartment and quickly cleaned the second apartment so that we can rest after an ovenight flight from NY. I love the kitchen, it's cozy, clean and open for 24 hours. It is such a nice and warm hostel and it is highly recommended. - It was so clean, and you didn't check in, you got an email telling you how to get into the hostel / your room. I arrived at 2 am and went right in and went to sleep. It is nicely decorated and so many things to read to show you what to do. The owner called a bus for me to get me back to the airport and I saw her eating lunch with some guests - she is very nice. I felt very safe.
