Lovely guesthouse, and a great jumping-off point for sightseeing in the south of Iceland. There's not a lot going on in Hofn itself, but Sindri (forgive my poor spelling) was an excellent host who was full of ideas and information about what we could do. Most of our other hotels had hot tubs, so we were a bit disappointed at first that this one didn't. However, it's very close to a local geothermal pool. and Sindri recommended an excellent spot just a 10 minute drive away - five geothermal hot

We stayed at a 3 bedroom apartment over the Posturinn, not in the main
guesthouse. The apartment was lovely, large and clean. The staff was
incredibly helpful and kind - they replaced the faucet while we were
there and came within 3 minutes when we locked ourselves out at 11pm. I
can't speak to the main guesthouse, but I would highly recommend
