  Love the Alsace and all the really cute villages that appear to have stopped in time. Colorful, half-timbered medieval houses often with stork nests on top! Lots to do in the region and this hotel is well- located above Ribeauville and its scenic center. Also close to some nice hiking in the area and biking from village to village. We were upgrad - This was our second trip to Clos St Vincent, and we returned because of the great time we had in July. It was actually a spur of the moment decision, due to an open weekend, and no plans. As it turned out, it was a great time to go, and we were fortunate there was a room, as it was the weekend of the Medieval Festival, and we got the only room left, a comfortable family room. We again brought our dogs, and enjoyed walking through the vinyards, now laden with bunches of nearly ripe grapes. Em

There is a fountain in front of the front door that spouts wine during Piperdays, a holiday that takes place on the first weekend in September. The breakfast is continental, but has many choices.   Good location, just on the edge of the old town. Very quiet, has 2 sets of doors to the hallway and good blinds/ curtains.
