They had long conversations with my fiance which really helped him improve his French and took an active interest in making out stay as good as possible.   We loved everything. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room exceeded expectations and the grounds were fabulous. Make sure you eat in the hotel. Auriol is superb in the morning sun and the delicious home cooked breakfast served on the terrace made it the perfect start for the day! During my stay in France, I have visited Avignon, Gordes, Cassis, Luberon, Marseilles and Aix-en-Provence. Auriol is still my first choice! Definite - We loved the personal atmosphere, the caring land lords, the brilliant and lovely location and the spectacular view over the valley. Also, the pool is a big asset. The location is perfect for a romantic short or mid term break in Provence and even beaches are not far.

  A truly lovely place to stay. Christine and her husband Pascale greeted us with the warmth of old friends. The house has been beautifully renovated by the owner, Christine. We have visited the village of Lourmarin many times but this was our first trip during the winter. The sense of staying in a family home was enhanced by the photographs in the room. The breakfast was superb, and served in a delightful riverside room full of original art works. Our only regret is that we were unable to eat in the restaurant. We have promised ourselves a return trip to do that.
